Good morning and happy Tuesday!
Let’s talk makeup for a second. We all know makeup isn’t my department, but I know how to fake a few things to look semi descent. Recently my favorite YouTuber Jackie Aina did a collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills. The Jackie Aina Palette is a limited-edition palette.
Featuring her must-have eye shadows and pressed pigments for straight-up gorgeous looks. I have been following Jackie for some time now, not because of her makeup skills, I admire her channel because of her inspiring messages to dark skin girls like myself. If I need a little motivation or laugh I just go to her YouTube channel. When I saw that she released a limited edition palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills, I knew without a doubt that I had to go and support her. I made sure I ordered it before my trip to Chicago. My palette came just in time before catching our flight.
I might be one of the few girls that does not wear eye shadow. My eyes are shaped a little funny, every time I put shadow on it gets covered by my eyelids.
So I just don’t bother with it. Maybe it’s because I don’t know how to apply it. The struggle bus is real. When I found out my wedding makeup artist Idea was going to be in Chicago, without any hesitation I hired her. I knew she would slay face with this palette and she did just that. The one hour drive was absolutely worth it to just have my face beat by Idea. I wished she lived here in Seattle. I guess this will force me to educate myself more about makeup.
For my eye shadow we used the color Ginger, Credit, Dwollahs and Zamn. I wanted my makeup simple but yet a little dramatic on the eyes. For foundation I am wearing Estēe Lauder double wear stay-in-place makeup in the color Deep Amber. For concealer we used Too Faced Born This Way in the color Spiced Rum. Finished everything off with my Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder in Medium Deep. We also used the Zamn color for highlighting. Honey I was glowing. That’s one of the many reasons I love this palette, I can use it for so many things and the colors are freaking gorgeous for my skin tone. I cannot wait to try the rest of the colors in the palette. Any of you lovey dolls bought Jackie Aina knew palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills? Would love to hear your feedback.
